Speech-Language Pathologist

Vanessa is a passionate, committed, and caring therapist. She provides holistic and client-centered assessments and interventions to children and adults with speech, language (including social communication and literacy), voice, fluency, and/or feeding/swallowing needs. Vanessa aims to bring meaningful changes to her clients by targeting functional treatment goals that build on their strengths. She also believes in supporting clients by collaborating closely with their support network including their families, teachers, and other professionals.

Vanessa has worked with clients ranging from young children to older adults with communication and/or swallowing needs in a variety of settings. These include community centres, private clinics, special needs schools, international schools, acute and rehabilitation hospitals, and nursing homes in Canada and Hong Kong.

Vanessa speaks fluent English and Cantonese, and functional Mandarin (Putonghua).

Qualifications:

• Member of Register of Speech Therapists accredited by Department of Health

• Member of Register of Speech Therapists of the Hong Kong Institute of Speech Therapists (HKIST)

• Registered member of the Hong Kong Association of Speech Therapists (HKAST)

• MSc. in Speech-Language Pathology - (Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong)
